hi been meaning to join this for some time

im currently striping my mk1 5door down to have repair work done,
any tips on were to get parts and work done would be awsome

Welcome to the forum.

There's a show run by the mk1 golf owners club this weekend in Uttoxeter - not sure if you're aware?

Has to be the best event of the year to buy mk1 parts at!
