I have a 1990 mk2 golf gti 8v, I have fitted a corrado g60 cable change gearbox with a electronic sensor fitted, I want to remove this bit & fit a standard cable, does anyone know what cable I need to match the gearbox to my clocks, see pic below of different fittings, red gear std to car & black electronic part I want to do away with.

Not sure. Might be worth posting on Dubforce forum, or Mk2VR6.

Hi, Adam,

I'm not 100% but I think I remember it being a Mk2 1.3 speedo cable, unless I'm getting confused. I thnk I remember it being the same fitment between 084 and 02A boxes.

Sorry I can't be more help..!

Take the g60 part and you can unscrew the top section with the connector on.

You will be left with a square section insert. Purchase a golf mk2 1.3 speedo cable and this fits straight in and locating ring screws on to hold it in. Used this on my 20v mk2 as it was running a passat 9a 02a box same as a g60.

Edit found pic you need.

i put a mk2 1.3 speedo cable on mine and to be honest its a bit to long
there is a speedo cable for an abf seat toledo that is shorter than a 1.3 mk2 one and that will fit better length wise
